The federal government is placing Wisconsin at a lower priority than other states, when it comes to COVID-19 testing supplies.
Deputy Health Services Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk says state labs are running out of things they need to process coronavirus tests. She says they’ve been pushing the federal government to make sure there’s an adequate supply of the reagents, because they’re needed to protect people in Wisconsin.
Last week, the Aurora Health System announced it was closing its community testing centers, including one in Oshkosh. The provider is also cutting back on the number of patients that are being tested before surgeries, because of the shortages.
