A poll shows 69 percent in Wisconsin think people should have to wear masks in public places.
Marquette University Law School Poll Director Charles Franklin says political parties are divided on the requirement. He says 43 percent of Republicans agree and 54 percent disagree. Seventy-one percent of independents support the mandate, and 93 percent of Democrats.
More people support mask requirements in the Appleton and Green Bay areas, at 73 percent.
Forty-eight percent in the state say they feel uncomfortable letting students return to school in the fall. Forty-five percent feel comfortable. In the Appleton and Green Bay areas, 52 percent are uncomfortable.
