U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson says he would still take a discredited COVID-19 treatment, if he caught the virus.
The Oshkosh Republican tells Josh Dukelow on Fresh Take he still believes hydroxychloriquine would help. He believes taking a combination of the drug and zinc has become politicized. He says if he would start getting a fever or cough, he would start using that combination early on.
Last month, the Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory against the use of hydroxychloriquine to treat COVID-19. Some states have even proposed bans on that treatment.
