A spokesman for Appleton International Airport says they’re seeing “steady progress” in their passenger numbers from last month.
While the total of 23,000 was down 68 percent from July of last year, it’s up 33 percent from June.
Patrick Tracey says the difference between now, and early on in the pandemic, is very noticeable. On one day in April, he says they only had 17 passengers. Now, he reports they’re seeing days with 500 to 600.
Allegiant Air is the busiest airline. Delta recently brought back its non-stop flight to Atlanta, and Tracey says it’s been about half-full.
