If President Trump or any other Republicans hold campaign events indoors next week, Governor Evers says they’ll need to follow the mask mandate.
The president says he’ll be in Wisconsin on Monday, and there are reports he could visit Oshkosh. Vice President Mike Pence is also planning to stop in the state, and there’s a “Women for Trump” bus tour this weekend.
Evers says the state can’t afford to have events that make it more difficult to control the spread of coronavirus.
The campaign events will be happening at the same time nearly everything at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee will be done virtually.
Evers says he will be in Milwaukee for his speech on Wednesday night. He says there won’t be a crowd, and he’s comfortable with the precautions that will be place.
