Appleton police are investigating some things that happened during Monday night’s protest in the downtown.
Officer Meghan Cash says people surrounded the local Republican Party office. She says they were threatening people inside, and damaging property. The SWAT team got the GOP volunteers out of the building, and drove them to a safe place.
She reports some protesters surrounded a Valley Transit bus, and wouldn’t let the driver leave. Someone walking home from a gas station was beaten and robbed.
Cash says they’re hearing other complaints of people being harassed, attacked, and threatened.
Police are asking anyone with video of an incident to share it with the department.
