The Fox Cities Book Festival will be an all-virtual event, and the schedule is in place.
More than 50 authors will hold Zoom meetings to talk about their books and answer questions.
Festival Vice President Aubrey Laux says it was a little easier to book the authors this year, since everything’s online, and they didn’t have to figure out travel schedules.
The author of this year’s Fox Cities Reads book, “The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir” will kick off the festival on October 11th. Kao Kalia Yang shares about her parents’ harrowing escape from Laos, life in a Thai refugee camp, and their early years in America.
The festival will run through the 18th.
There will also be a series of panel discussions with authors on different topics.
The festival set up its own virtual shop, if people want to buy books from certain authors. It’s through the website Bookshop.org.
