Coronavirus cases forced Oshkosh administrators to shift to virtual learning for Oshkosh North High School and Merrill Middle School, on the eve of the first day of the new year.
Superintendent Vickie Cartwright says some staff members were exposed, and they wouldn’t have had people in critical positions to make sure they could open safely.
Because of privacy laws, Cartwright says she can’t release details on how many staff members are affected.
She says they found out about the situation yesterday afternoon, and then parents were notified.
She plans to let people know as soon as possible when they’ll be able to hold in-person classes at the two schools.
