In about a year, workers at the Ariens Company will have a new place to send their kids during the day.
Construction officially started today on the Brillion Early Learning Center.
The company will cover 30 percent of child care costs for its workers. President Dan Ariens says it might cost them $300,000 to $500,000 a year, but they believe it’s a good investment.
Ariens says they’ll set up the hours at the center to correspond to the times of the company’s shifts.
The company also hopes the additional benefit will help attract and retain workers.
The center will be on the former Brillion Iron Works foundry property, and it’s the first new project on that site.
