A man accused of inciting violence at a Waupaca protest is facing a trial.
A judge is ruling there’s enough evidence to try Matthew Banta on charges of reckless endangerment and battery to a police officer.
Prosecutors say Banta was part of a group marching on a Waupaca street last month, when police asked them to return to the sidewalk. He’s accused of pointing a rifle at an officer, and fighting with police.
