Just when you think there’s nothing left in the Jimi Hendrix vaults, here come another concert film and album.
The documentary Music, Money, Madness…Jimi Hendrix In Maui and the album Live in Maui will both be out on November 20th. The performances from Hendrix, Billy Cox, and Mitch Mitchell are newly restored and mixed by longtime Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer.
The film chronicles the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s visit to Hawaii on July 30th, 1970 and how their shows became part of the Rainbow Bridge movie produced by their manager Michael Jeffery.
The Blu-ray package includes the documentary as well as the album on either two CDs or three records. The album will also be available on its own digitally. You can pre-order here.
