The statewide mask rule will currently be in place for less than two weeks.
Governor Evers says they’re considering what could be done. He believes it’s an important part of keeping people safe and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Evers says his administration is still limited by a May ruling by the state Supreme Court on the “safer at home” order. He doesn’t believe Majority Republicans in the Legislature want to take any statewide steps.
Evers declared a second public health emergency in July, and it included the mask order. It expires September 28th.
