A new or expanded Appleton library could stay in the current spot, and Mayor Jake Woodward wants it to be an anchor for the surrounding neighborhood.
He’s proposing that site, and he’s also pushing for a long-term plan for the area north of College Avenue. Woodford says they’ll get started on a neighborhood-level process, and it’s going to happen at the same time the city looks at options for the library project.
Woodford wants the community and neighborhood to get involved. He hopes the plan will help attract developers to that part of the city.
