There have been more than 1,700 crashes involving cars and farm vehicles in Wisconsin over the past decade.
That’s led to 840 injuries and 27 deaths.
Department of Transportation Secretary Craig Thompson says in many of them, someone was trying to pass a farm vehicle. He says that’s their emphasis this year, especially not passing in a no-passing zone.
The fall harvest period means there are going to be more farm vehicles on rural roads in Wisconsin. Officials are urging drivers to be patient, when they get behind one.
