Police are reporting the suspect and two victims in a Green Bay double murder were related.
Commander Paul Ebel says the 37- and 30-year-old men were killed at an apartment building on the city’s northeast side. Officers went to the place on Clement Street, near Baird Creek Park, after neighbors heard gunshots.
Ebel says they saw the 28-year-old suspect driving on the east side, and he led officers on a high-speed chase into the downtown. He says the man crashed near the corner of Dousman Street and North Broadway, after he drove over stop sticks.
Ebel says the suspect charged officers, and slashed one of them in the face with a knife before he was arrested. The officer is recovering at home. The suspect was moved to a Milwaukee hospital for a self-inflicted knife wound to his wrist.
