A study that looked at the supply and demand for housing in Green Bay shows the need for more rental units and homes.
Green Bay’s interim development director Cheryl Renier-Wigg says they need to create between 140 and 310 rental units a year to keep up with growth and between 170 and 380 homes. The study shows a lot of parking lots in downtown and very little housing.
She says they’re going to put together a housing committee. The study also showed that about 70 percent of the people that work in Green Bay live outside the city.
