The old saying, the captain goes down with his ship, could also be repurposed for a zamboni driver from New York.
In the video we see a zamboni engulfed in flames at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex in Rochester.
A hydraulic leak is suspected to have started the fire. Thankfully no one was injured due to the heroics of the driver who stayed on the zamboni and drove it off the ice – in FULL FLAME – and got it into the maintenance area where the fire was put out.
Maybe the Calgary Flames are looking for a new ice resurfacer or mascot.
