Two shootings in Green Bay on Wednesday brought the total number for the year to 48.
Police Chief Andrew Smith says that’s more than double the typical amount. People in the community are worried and anxious. Smith says they’re working with federal officials.
Police are looking for one suspect involved in an afternoon shooting on Ashland Avenue. A woman and five-year-old child were hurt in the second shooting late Wednesday in the 1200 block of Berner Street. Police say 15 rounds were shot at a car. Smith says it’s a miracle no one was killed. He thinks the two shootings are related.
