The Appleton School District is considering a name change for Lincoln Elementary School. The School Board will vote later this month to rename the school Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary–Home of the Lincoln Lions. School Board President Kay Eggert says this should not be seen as an act of revisionist history–but rather a way to honor someone who advanced education in Appleton. Dunlap was principal at Lincoln Elementary for 13-years and worked as an administrator in the Appleton School District after that.
