Most of the time you have to worry about the weird stuff happening ON the ground in Florida – this time, it’s in the air.
Florida residents were panicked Tuesday when they looked to the sky and thought they saw a UFO.
This resulted in multiple reports to authorities about the assumed UFO sighting.
But a local TV station tried to quell the public fear by explaining that it wasn’t an alien invasion… it was just a Trident 2 ballistic missile.
I think I’d rather welcome our alien overlords rather than face nuclear winter in the sunshine state.
It was reported the missile was launched from a submarine off Florida’s Atlantic coast as part of a test by either the U.S. or British Navy.
Experts say the missile was very high in the sky and posed no danger to anyone on the ground.
Not sure if that would make me feel much better as a Floridian.
