With all the big Mardi Gras parades canceled in New Orleans this year due to COVID, locals have decorated their homes and yards like floats. They are called “house floats” for Yardi Gras. This is an opportunity for people to celebrate today by driving around town and checking out the house floats. They are going to the floats instead of the floats coming to them. It’s also an opportunity to employ the out of work artists who play such a big part in creating the floats each year. The video below captures some amazing sights.
