In a supreme act of stupidity and child endangerment, an intelligence-challenged father attempted to bring his daughter into an elephant enclosure to (all together now) take a selfie with the elephant.
The 25 year old man carried his 2-year-old daughter into an elephant habitat at the San Diego Zoo. An elephant acted like it wanted to charge, and, when they tried to escape the enclosure, the father dropped his daughter attempting to get out. The man was able to get his daughter out of the habitat safely… no thanks to himself.
The father was later arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.
Police told The San Diego Union-Tribune that the man “wanted to take a photo with the African bull elephant.”
