Appleton man sentenced to life for murder of 3-year old girl

An Appleton man will spend life in prison for the murder of his pregnant girfriend’s three year old daughter. Demetrius Williams receives the sentence this morning in Outagamie County Court on charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide and Attempted Homicide. He will be eligible to apply for parole in 40-years. Williams stabbed Zyana Corbin to death–and seriously injured her pregnant mother, Tiana–in an attack back in February of 2020. He was also sentenced to five years in prison for taking a jail guard hostage during an escape attempt last June.
