An Appleton man pleads guilty to killing his girlfriend at a duplex on the city’s southeast side.
62-year-old Johnny Scott pleaded guilty as his trial was set to begin in Outagamie County Court this week. He killed Annie Ford in 2017. Investigators say Ford was sleeping in a spare bedroom when Scott pulled a gun on her and shot her. Ford’s teenage son was in the bedroom and he called police.
As part of Scott’s plea agreement, charges of second degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by a felon were dismissed. He’ll be sentenced June 15th.
