You may not know this, but the folks at Ball Corporation – the company that makes the glass jars your mom used for canning – have developed an aluminum cup which is intended to make your beverage-drinking experience more environmentally conscious. The aluminum cups are strong enough to be reused but also “infinitely recyclable” and have been recognized by Fast Company’s 2020 World Changing Ideas in their consumer products category. Ball’s aluminum cups are being marketed as an alternative to plastic cups (i.e. “Red Solo Cup”) which are prevalent in the marketplace.
The Ball aluminum cups are available at Target stores but this year distribution has expanded. According to their website, you can soon buy the aluminum cups at CVS Pharmacy and Meijer stores.
