Two decades of her show airing on television, ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ Ellen announces a ‘Final’ season in the works for 2022.

In a prepared statement, Degeneres writes, “When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged – and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore.”
DeGeneres came under fire last year when three producers left amid allegations of a dysfunctional workplace that included sexual misconduct and racially insensitive remarks. Ever since, Ellen’s ratings have been going down hill.
Nielsen data shows “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” viewership dropped by 1.1 million people this season, from 2.6 million viewers to 1.5 million viewers.
