If you are arachnophobic (hates spiders) then you’d best avoid the Australian State/Province of Victoria.
Southeastern Australia has experienced extreme flooding recently, causing spiders to seek higher ground. And in doing so, they’ve covered many towns in cobwebs.
As you can see in the video below some towns and surrounding areas are completely covered in sheets of webs – which is called “ballooning” – allowing thousands of spiders to shelter from floods and strong winds.
Yikes!
