You’d think that theme parks would be a lovely little oasis away from the societal trappings of modern life. You’d be wrong.
It seems that with all the fights, attacks on employees, guns, knives, alcohol-related activity, etc., at the Happiest Places on Earth, the outside world is slowly encroaching into those wonderful little playgrounds. And now we can add to that ever-increasing list of idiocy – ‘cucumber theft’.
In the video below we see a tram taking guests through EPCOT Center’s The Land pavilion at Disney World in Florida.
The woman apparently had a hankering for a cucumber and decided (wrongly) to disembark the “Living with the Land” ride to pick her own cucumber off the actual garden on the ride. She proves she’s as good as that as she is listening and abiding the phrase “please do not leave the ride for any reason“. Because after attempting to pick the ‘cuc, she falls into the water system that irrigates the garden and gets what we call ’round these parts a soaker.
Eventually, with the help of another passenger, she gets back into the tram. But John, doesn’t Disney have cameras literally EVERYWHERE on the ride? Why, Yes they do! Apparently she tried this stunt at various points during the ride with other forms of produce as employees watched in horror.
She was met at the end of the ride by security and we’re assuming that she either was banned from the park or was forced into hard garden labor for her indiscretions.
By the way if you’re so curious of how the food tastes there, they do use the produce grown in the garden to serve to guests at the park… So that seems like a pretty simple answer.
Welp, Living With The Land had its run without lap bars… this is why we can’t have nice things pic.twitter.com/9TDUz9bqBr
