Ah… the ‘Circle of Life’ inspiring, majestic and heartbreaking.
In the video below we watch as a young boy learns about life and death all within the span of a minute.
He releases a butterfly/moth that he’s captured under the watchful eye of his father… and unfortunately the hungry family dog.
As the butterfly/moth gracefully flutters away to open air and freedom is when the harshest lesson is learned about survival of the fittest and hungriest in this particular case. The butterfly/moth gets maybe a few yards from captivity when the family dog decides its hungry and devours it in one bite – Yum!
The expression on the boy’s face is so sad and tragic seeing the creature he must have nurtured for hours shuffle of this mortal coil in a split second. Normally you’d have to watch a Disney film to experience that code-red, level of tragedy.
