If you thought ‘Chucky’ from the ‘Child’s Play‘ horror series was the creepiest doll you’ve ever seen… I present to you, “Baby Laugh ‘A’ Lot.”
Below is a retro commercial from the toy company Remco from 1971 that I assume inspired David Lynch in some way.
Baby Laugh ‘A’ Lot is a creepy doll with a maniacal look and an even more insane laugh.
You’re instructed to just push the button and she starts to giggle – giggle? More like expels an insane laugh that would give any iteration of the Joker a run for his money.
Combine that with the static look of insanity permanently molded on her face and you have the makings of a horror classic.
Imagine that laugh coming out of nowhere in the middle of the night? *Shiver*
But Baby Laugh ‘A’ Lot isn’t the only creepy thing in the spot, the little girls and their changing expressions in the commercial add even more horror to what should’ve been a fun toy commercial but in retrospect create a disturbing advertisement that chills you to the bone.
