Overreact much???
Normally people complain about soup being cold but a Texas woman ordered soup from a restaurant and said it was so HOT that it melted the plastic cover on top.
OK… that’s possible.
So the worker (Jannelle Broland) apologized, offered a refund, free food, etc. did everything possible (besides personally blow on every spoonful of the soup to cool it – which I understand is frowned upon in this particular COVID-y climate we live in these days) to try to appease the irate woman. But all the woman wanted to do was drop f-bombs, and yell about it – so Jannelle understandably reached her limit and told the woman you can’t talk to me like that and hung up on her.
Well, that then brought ‘Soup Karen‘ back to the restaurant for a face-to-face confrontation… well… more like a soup-to-face confrontation where she continued her tirade and then just threw the soup in the face of Jannelle when she threatened to call police.
Thankfully the soup wasn’t as ‘plastic top-melting‘ hot as was asserted but the spices were hot enough for the worker to say it felt like she had been pepper sprayed.
Police are pursuing charges against ‘Soup Karen’.
And you wonder why restaurants can’t find people to work….
