In a bizarre video, a woman slipped into the Bronx Zoo in New York in a (failed) attempt to pledge her love to a lion.
A woman (dressed in a blonde wig, red dress and leopard print shall) climbed over a barrier at the Bronx Zoo’s lion exhibit. Cell phone video shows her holding roses and tossing $100 bills (real??) toward the lion named King. ‘Lion, King'(?)… original.
Anyhoo… she was talking to the lion from about 15 feet away (thankfully at the edge of a protective moat) and professing her love of the creature, “King, I love you. I came back for you.”
I’m sure King’s thrilled.
And also saying at one point in the video, “I missed him so much.”
A Bronx Zoo spokesperson said in a statement.
“This “situation involves one individual who is determined to harass our lions with no regard for her safety, or the safety of our staff and our guests, and no regard for the well-being of the lions.”
NYPD officials are attempting to identify the ‘Lion Queen,’ track her down and charge her with trespassing.
