An armored truck accidentally spilled money out the back door on I-5 in San Diego, effectively causing a cash mob as motorists parked and exited their vehicles to grab some of the money.
Obviously (except for those who were scrambling for the money) it’s not exactly FREE loot.
California Highway Patrol Dispatchers have taken screenshots from videos of the scene asking anyone who may have taken some of the seemingly “free” money, to return it to their office in order to avoid criminal charges.
“This is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen,” one young woman said in a personal video uploaded to Reddit.
Some of the motorists who excitedly exited their cars accidentally locked their keys in their vehicles and were subsequently arrested on suspicion of having taken some of the money according to the local Fox news affiliate.
