Monkees’ singer and guitarist Mike Nesmith has passed away at age 78. Mike, Who is mother invent Liquid Paper correction fluid, wrote and sang some of the groups biggest hits. As a solo artist, he had a hit with the song called Joanne and a song he wrote, Different Drum, went on to become a first hit for Linda Ronstadt. Nesmith also went on to become a pioneer in producing music videos. A show he created for Nickelodeon called PopClips, was the inspiration for MTV and he produced the the amazing cult film Repo Man.
In a statement from his family, “With Infinite Love we announce that Michael Nesmith has passed away this morning in his home, surrounded by family, peacefully and of natural causes”.
