Ann Wilson from the band Heart has just announced her 3rd solo album. It’s called Fierce Bliss and is due out on April 29th. Ann said about recording this new album:
“I had originally intended to go into any old studio, record a few songs and see what I had, but Fierce Bliss quickly took on a life of It’s own. We went into the famous Muscle Shoals FAME studio and all of a sudden, where there was no record before, I magically had 11 cool songs that I really liked.”
The first single is a song called “Greed” and you can see the video below. Ann had a few words to say about this song as well:
“‘Greed’ is that thing in our animal nature that makes us want more and more,. Whether it be money, sex, power or ecstasy, it fires our craving and it happens with all of us…“I think people who claim to have made every decision from a base of pure, healthy idealism, who claim to have never done anything dark or selfish, are lying…
Joining Ann on the album is country singer and part-time member of the Eagles Vince Gill on “Love of My Life,” Kenny Wayne Shepherd on “Bridge of Sighs” and “Missionary Man,” and Warren Haynes on “Gladiator” and “Angel’s Blues.”
