The postal carrier mantra/mission states: Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. It says nothing about the truck carrying the mail veering off a bridge and plunging into a river… but that’s exactly what happened in Massachusetts.
State Police released traffic camera footage of a tractor trailer carrying U.S. mail plunging off a bridge and into the Charles River.
Pretty scary stuff and also pretty amazing considering that the driver pulled himself out of the water and was rescued.
So if you didn’t get the spring edition of the Eddie Bauer catalog in that part of the country, there’s probably a good reason.
