APPLETON, Wis. — An Appleton man who secretly videotaped students at Lawrence University will spend three years in prison.
Benjamine Wears, 23, was convicted in September of Capturing an Intimate Representation and Burglary.
Wears admitted to police in 2020 that he secretly videotaped students in bathroom stalls and tried to videotape them in their dorm rooms. After being released on bond, he was found to have taken more videos of students in bathroom stalls later that year.
Wears must register as a sex offender.
