In March Queen guitarist Brian May entered the studio with 10cc’s Graham Gouldman for what May said was “a little surprise.” What you may not know is that Brian May is an astrophysicist and the song that he and Gouldman recorded is called “Floating in Heaven” a song written to celebrate the release of the images from NASA’s James Webb Telescope.
“There is nothing more exciting in a world of exploration than going to a place about which you know nothing. The sky’s the limit for what we could find out.”
The accompanying video features some of the images released by NASA yesterday. This new Telescope is intended to be a replacement for the now decades old Hubble Telescope. Brian of course plays guitar on the track while Gouldman sings.
