GREEN BAY, Wis–Green Bay Police release more details on an officer-involved shooting that left one person injured. The incident started with a report of a domestic disturbance in the 700-block of Chapel View Road just after 11:00 Wednesday night.
A man believed to be involved in the fight reportedly left as police arrived–but was not pursued. He returned a short time later, drank a beer taken from the trunk of the car, and fired a shot into the air. He fled the scene again, but police did not follow.
A short time later, the vehicle was spotted again in the area–and that is when Chief Chris Davis says officers tried to take the suspect into custody……………
The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No officers were hurt. Criminal charges are pending.
