Amelie and Jon from the band 7000apart, who are playing their second consecutive Mile Of Music, will be Rick and Cutter’s guests in the studio in the 9 AM hour on Tuesday. John is from Green Bay and Amelie is from Stockholm. Hence, 7000 apart. They met when Amelie came to Green Bay as an exchange student at Preble in 2012 and apparently have been together ever since (sometimes at a great distance apart, but still together).
7000apart were the winners of the 2021 best new artist at the Wisconsin Area Music Industry awards (The WAMIs) and have appeared done Sweden‘s Got Talent. Seriously.
Tuesday morning, just like at Mile Of Music, you’ll hear some of their original tunes. However, check out their cover of The Rolling Stones’ Paint it Black, which really tripped my utlösare.
See them this week during Mile 9 Thursday at 6:25PM at Deja Vu Martini Bar. Friday at 2:40PM at the Bar on the Avenue. And Saturday at 4:00PM at the Hilton Paper Valley Ballroom Main Stage.
Other Mile Of Music guests confirmed for this week on the Rick and Cutter Show:
Wednesday: The dark and haunting Sit Kitty Sit.
Thursday: New Orleans Funk rock diva Lilli Lewis
Friday: 70s style glam rock impresarios Gyasi.
