Originally from Athens, Georgia, Lilli Lewis is now known as New Orleans’ Folk Rock Diva. Well, sometimes. Her music draws from many types of music. Everything from jazz to country, from blues to opera. She is in town for her first Mile of Music and will join Rick and Cutter in the studio Thursday morning a little after 9. We’ll see if they bring the “rock diva” out in her.
Her third album on Louisiana Red Hot Records, was lauded by Rolling Stone Magazine as “One of the most powerful records of 2021.” And Lilli is a 2022 recipient of Folk Alliance International’s Spirit of Folk Awards.
While she’ll be playing all originals at Mile and with Rick and Cutter, we thought you might appreciate her interpretation of Radiohead’s Creep. (This video is also an excellent example of why you should shut the hell up and listen while the musician is performing!)
You can see Lilli during MoM Thursday at 7:15 PM on the Spats Stage (Outdoor).
Friday at 2:40 PM on the Hilton Paper Valley Ballroom Main Stage. Saturday at 1:40 on the Emmetts Main Stage (Outdoor) and at 7:30 PM in the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel Courtyard.
