A great man once said, “Buy the ticket, take the ride” – meaning you must bear some responsibility for what happens to yourself despite the circumstances. This was on full and literal display at a carnival in India.
An (un)amusement ride in Punjab, Northern India did what it was supposed to do which was take people on a thrill ride. Unfortunately it did not stick the landing.
The ride which resembles a hybrid of Midwest, midway staples Gravatron / Tower-of-Terror took the patrons 50 feet straight up while spinning. But when it got to the top, it just dropped the deck straight down, injuring everyone on the ride due to the extreme impact.
Again it must be said, buy the ticket take the ride, but what the ride does after that point is anybody’s guess.
