APPLETON, Wis. — Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford warns of a scam involving the city.
Woodford tweeted a screenshot of a text message that appears to be from him and asks the receiver to click on a link to share their thoughts on issues facing the city.
If you received this text, it did not come from me or @cityofappleton
We are looking into it, but in the meantime, I recommend deleting this message.

Woodford recommends deleting the message and says the city is looking into the matter.
