As Ray Parker Jr. famously sings, “There’s something strange in the neighborhood…” and in Portland, OR that would be The Ghostbusters Firehouse – and it’s absolutely incredible – and you don’t have to hook up with the Gatekeeper to do it.
Vacasa (the Keymaster in this case) – the largest vacation rental management firm in the U.S. – is booking stays at this incredible re-creation of the Ghostbusters HQ from the movies.
You can see the entire Ghostbusters Firehouse in the 3D tour below. And what a trip it is!
You get to wander through the entirety of the Ghostbuster’s offices. You’ll see lovingly re-created with props and adorned with memorabilia from the Ghostbusters franchise. Including; Ecto-1, ghost traps, proton packs, work uniforms, sleeping quarters (BJ Ghost optional), the desk of Janine Melnitz, a picture of Vigo the Carpathian (a.k.a. Vigo the Butch), Egon’s lab, Ray’s toys, the basement Ecto Containment System, Stay Puft marshmallows – just SO much eye candy.
So, where ya gonna book? You don’t have to call 555-2368 because as the site says; No phone bookings were allowed for this stay, as the lines need to stay clear for reports of ghost sightings. The listing went live on October 21 for $19.84 per night (plus taxes) in honor of the year the first movie was released,
Vacasa will also make a donation to the Oregon Volunteer Firefighters Association to commemorate all those who stay there.
