MADISON, Wis–The U-W System is resurrecting a survey on free speech on campus. The System initially planned to survey students on how free they felt to express their opinions and beliefs last spring, but it was shelved after the chancellor at U-W Whitewater resigned in protest.
The 29-page survey will be sent out randomly to students at all 13 UW institutions, asking their input on questions like have they “ever felt pressured by an instructor to agree with certain political or ideological views?”. Those that complete the survey will receive a ten-dollar gift card.
