After appearing in a Super Bowl ad for the human resources company Workday Ozzy is another new commercial. This time he’s playing video games! He’s featured in this new ad for the Playstation VR2. It’s a virtual reality system for your PS5. In the commercial we see Ozzy being yelled at by Sharon while playing the new Horizon VR.
So on top of that guitar legend, Steve Vai told Eonmusic that there is an album that he and Ozzy did together around the release of Ozzmosis that is just sitting in the vaults.
Vai admits that he doesn’t have “any control over it or rights to it obviously,” but that they “did record some pretty good stuff.”
Vai says he and Ozzy were put together by Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy’s label to write some material for Ozzmosis and that
“Ozzy and I got carried away because we were having a lot of fun, and we ended up recording a lot of stuff, and then we started scheming: ‘Hey, let’s make a new record!’ And all that was fine and good, and we got excited about it until the hammer came down, and they basically said, ‘What are you doing? No, you just got to take a song from Vai and finish your record. We’re already into it for this much money, and Vai is [another expense].”
Steve did join Rick and Cutter a couple of weeks ago to talk about another previously unreleased album from the vaults called Vai/Gash.
