Being a sports parent is a rough ride. With all the up’s come the inevitable down’s – and as cameras are everywhere these days, they’ll find those moments of grief and turmoil that parents go through watching their children participate in the sports they love. None more evident than during the recent NCAA Wrestling Championships where there was a momentous upset when Purdue’s Matt Ramos beat Iowa’s Spencer Lee in the semi-final match . Spencer was a three-time national champ. And no one took it worse than Spencer’s mom Cathy, who was so upset she took off her glasses, and twisted them into bits and pieces at the 1:04 mark in the video below.
