A Popeyes Chicken employee did not “love that chicken” so much and instead destroyed a Chicago-area restaurant in a pay protest.
Apparently not getting paid for a month has a butterfly effect… employee doesn’t get paid and restaurant, as a result, gets destroyed – seems like an even exchange. Frozen chicken, fries and various liquids litter the floor of the restaurant in the TikTok clip posted by user @itsarah26.

There’s also a clip of damaged registers with cut cords and adding to the mayhem, is another clip of a completely destroyed stockroom with overturned shelves, opened boxes and flipped over bins. He also raided the cash registers on his way out also. So he paid himself.
TikTok users seemed to take the man’s side. With comments ranging from, “A whole month not getting paid? I’m on his side.” to a much more reasonable, “I understand his anger, but now he definitely ain’t getting paid. This is a corporation. He could’ve sued and got a nice settlement check.”
The story does not mention if the man has been/was arrested yet.
