So if we have to worry about Illinois drivers driving crazy on our highways here in Wisconsin – I suppose it’s only fair that now Illinois residents have to fret about Wisconsin livestock running wild on their streets.
A cow purchased on Craigslist in Winneconne, WI ended up running wild in the streets of Niles, Illinois as part of a senior prank gone wrong.
Seniors at Northridge Preparatory School in Niles, Illinois had planned an elaborate early morning prank involving farm animals including chickens, a pig, and a steer. But something went wrong and the steer broke loose. It then took off running through the streets of a residential neighborhood, while several students ran after it. Residents called the police and they were eventually able to corner it behind a house. Workers from a nearby animal sanctuary (Wagner Farm) were then called in to corral it.
School officials are not pressing any charges against the students chalking it up to youthful exuberance BUT they didn’t get off the farm without a little manure on their boots, they’ve all received citations for curfew violation, disorderly conduct and animal feces accumulation.
