We are proud to name as this week’s Rick and Cutter Show Weenie of the Week…the 20-year-old Oakfield man who was driving northbound just north of the Wal-Mart parking lot in Fond du lac yesterday afternoon when his vehicle left the roadway. It traveled approximately 300 feet off-road through parts of a terrace and parts of the Pet Smart/Dollar Tree parking lot before jumping over the curb of the Verizon parking lot and smashing through the building into Verizon’s showroom at a high rate of speed and finally came to rest after it traversed the entire showroom and hit the opposite wall.
Three people sustained non-life threatening injures and were transported to a hospital by fire and rescue while one woman with far more serious injuries was transported by Theda Star medical helicopter.
And was the driver intoxicated? Well, it was the noon hour…and he was charged with driving while impaired.
So,
For not realizing that you can’t just determine for yourself which businesses are and are not drive thru.
For having something in common with the front of the store…the both got smashed before 1 pm.
For crashing into a Verizon Store but not having the balls to immediately get out of the car and yell, “Can you hear me NOW?”
We are proud to name the so far unidentified befuddled felonious fond du lac phone store infringer who crashed through…and I mean through…the Verizon store as this week’s Rick and Cutter Store…WEENIE OF THE WEEK.
